Women Filmmakers festival to screen ‘The Savior’

The International Women Filmmakers Festival in Turkey is set to screen Iranian short film ‘The Savior’.

According to the Iranian Youth Cinema Society, ‘The Savior’, written and directed by Soheila Pourmohammadi, will be screened in the 5th edition of the Turkish event.

The film tells the story of a girl who has recently witnessed the death of her mother.

The cast members of the film include Mahmoud Taqavi and Setia Asadi.

The 5th International Women Filmmakers Festival will kick off on February 27 and run until March 8.

The festival aims to make female film directors and their movies “recognizable” by bringing female filmmakers and other female cinema industry workers together, according to an online submission platform.

It “also aims to support and encourage creative women by creating new networks & perspectives, finding possible funds, and making space for the new coming filmmakers’ generation”.
